Wildlife Information

1.  Wildlife Regulations

These regulations are updated and effective on September 1 of each year.

They place quotas on the various types of wildlife that can be taken and the methods that may be used to take that wildlife.  Decisions on quotas of the various species are based on acreage, the recommendations of a qualified wildlife biologist presented in his formal Wildlife Survey report, and the best judgment of the Wildlife Committee.

2.  Wildlife Survey

This report is produced by a qualified wildlife biologist using the results of "spotlight counts" and "feeder counts" to determine the quantity and location of animals of various species present in the ranchlands. It also provides information on the distribution of the various species, shows where they were counted, and provides recommendations to insure the health of the animals.

3.  Voluntary Wildlife Feeder Count

These are the instructions and report forms to use for voluntarily counting wildlife observed at your feeder. They should be turned into the wildlife committee from time to time as specified in the instructions.
