Ownership of property in the YO
Ranchlands does not automatically make you a member of the YO
Ranchlands Exotics Production Co-operative nor does
it automatically qualify you for an agricultural or wildlife
appraisal. Membership in the YO Ranchlands Exotics
Production Co-operative should qualify your property for
agricultural valuation if you follow these instructions.
If you want to join the
Exotics Co-Op;
OR
If you want to get out of
the Co-Op
Complete the following steps:
- Sign the appropriate signature page;
- To Join Co-Op
- To quit Co-Op
- Have the signature(s) notarized;
- File the Agreement and signature page
at the Kerr County Courthouse. When the Records Office
staff asks where you want the originals sent, tell them
to send them to: Administrator, Exotics Co-Op, 150
Camino Real, Junction, Texas, 76849.
Get two (2) copies of the document that
you file. Make sure that these copies have the Volume and
Page of the filing on them. You will need that information
and one copy in the next step.
- Send a letter to the Chief Appraiser
at the Kerr County Appraisal District, requesting Ag.
Valuation on your property on the basis of Exotics
Production. Include a copy of your filing document with
your letter. If you already have Ag. Valuation request
the basis be changed to Exotics Production. If you do not
have Ag. Valuation, request an application for Ag.
Valuation, fill it out and submit it to the Appraisal
District.
- Participate in Exotic harvests as
requested by the Wildlife Committee and as indicated in
the Exotics Agreement.
